For over twenty years, the Pipa has been the soul of Ying Cui's artistic journey. Trained under the renowned Professor Sun Weixi at the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM), she built a solid foundation in classical Pipa performance. She went on to become a faculty member and an official adjudicator at CCOM, dedicating herself to professional pedagogy and institutional excellence.
Ying's career is defined by global engagement. From performing at the 2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony to teaching at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, she has used her music as a universal language to connect cultures across Europe and Asia.
Now based in Dallas, Texas, she is the founder of Ying Pipa Studio. Combining classical performance with digital media, Ying continues to share her passion for the Pipa with a global audience. Whether through professional education or online storytelling, she remains committed to bringing the timeless beauty of Chinese music into the modern world.
